We are delighted to once again extend our warmest congratulations to PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), the world’s largest exporter of thermal coal and a leading player in the global coal industry, on the successful completion of Phase II of its shelf offering program with a total target fundraising amount of IDR 5 trillion.
Following the initial issuance under Phase I amounting to IDR 350 billion, BUMI has now completed Phase II of its shelf offering program through the successful issuance of bonds in the aggregate principal amount of IDR 721.6 billion. The proceeds of which will primarily be used to finance BUMI’s acquisition of 100% shares in Wolfram Limited (WFL) who holds two assets in Crush Creek and Mount Carlton, Australia, with estimated reserves of 197 thousand ounces (koz) and 340 (koz) respectively. Through this acquisition, BUMI is expected to further expand its copper and gold reserves and reinforce its position in critical mineral resources.
The transaction was led by Partners, Rambun Tjajo and Ken Prasadtyo, with outstanding support from Associate Partner, Brahmantyo Jatiwidianto (Dito), Senior Associate, Yonastan Pangestu, and Associate, Andrew Jonathan.
It has been our privilege to continue advising BUMI on this key transaction, and we commend its long-term vision for growth and sustainability. We remain firmly committed to partnering with BUMI in driving innovation, future growth, and strategic expansion.
