Client Alert: Upcoming Regulatory Updates on Indonesian Capital Market

On 1 February 2026, the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia) (IDX) announced their commitment to pursue bold and ambitious reforms in the Indonesian capital market, aligning the regulatory framework with international best practices and the expectations of global index providers. These initiatives will be implemented through eight action plans grouped into four clusters, namely: (i) a new free float policy, (ii) enhanced transparency, (iii) governance and enforcement, and (iv) synergy.
