We are proud to share that we advised Arsari Group, a leading Indonesian investment group with a diversified portfolio in connection with the financing and establishment of a strategic joint venture with PT Indosat Tbk (IOH) and Lintasarta (LA) to form PT Infra Fiber Teknologi (IFT). IFT was established as an independent digital fiber infrastructure platform designed to support the continued development and expansion of Indonesia’s telecommunications and digital connectivity ecosystem.
The transaction involved the transfer to IFT of more than 86,000 kilometres of IOH’s existing fiber-optic network, comprising backbone infrastructure, domestic submarine cable systems, and access networks across Indonesia. With approximately 55% of the network located outside Java, the platform provides extensive coverage across Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Eastern Indonesia. The transaction was financed through a combination of equity, senior debt, and mezzanine financing, reflecting its scale, complexity, and long-term capital requirements.
As one of Indonesia’s most significant digital infrastructure transactions, the deal marks an important milestone in strengthening the country’s digital backbone. By expanding the reach and capacity of fiber-optic infrastructure, the transaction is expected to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness, improve access to reliable digital services, and create broader economic and social opportunities for communities across the country.
