His past representation of the ‘Acquisition of Holcim Indonesia by Semen Indonesia’ was being considered as one of the high-profile deals in the last year due to its size and impact in the relevant industry. This deal was also being nominated as a finalist of M&A Deal of the Year (Premium) at the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2019 and M&A Deal of the Year at the ALB Indonesia Law Awards 2019.
Other representations include ‘Acquisition Financing for Semen Indonesia’, and ‘Semen Indonesia’s Syndicated Loan’, were also being nominated respectively as the finalists for the Project Finance Deal of the Year and the Debt Market Deal of the Year at the ALB Indonesia Law Awards 2019. In the capital market practice, he leads the team in conducting the necessary thorough due diligence, drafting and reviewing the transaction documents, negotiating on behalf of issuers or lead underwriters, and preparing/reviewing prospectuses and other registration documents.
He has substantial experience in diverse infrastructure projects and project finance, and represents various financial institutions as lenders and borrowers across the full spectrum of industries and lending schemes, and address the specialized needs of lenders and developers in financing infrastructure projects, including acquisition finance, project finance, and debt capital markets.
Rambun’s other professional achievement include being one of the board members of the Next Indonesia Unicorn (NextICorn) foundation, who also serves as a special staff of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics. NextIcorn is a cooperation between private industry and the government that is looking for the next best startup companies in Indonesia, which are ready to receive funding from foreign and domestic investors. The board agrees that the establishment of this foundation would manage and conduct other activities to facilitate the born of new Indonesian unicorns.
He is also active as being a guest speaker at various legal seminars, for example, recently he was the guest speaker at legal events/seminars being held by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero), PT Semen Indonesia Tbk, and Fidelitas Institute (a professional institution focused on elevating Indonesian Corporate Finance standards, accreditations, and professionals in Indonesia).
